Hi,
Probably a bit of a daft question, but does anyone know if Goodrich do a BF Radial T-A tyre that would fit on Marina size wheels?
If not can anyone recommend a good all round tyre to use?

BF Goodrich do a 145/80 13 on a "summer" tyre on thier site.
I've gone with Michelins I have a feeling they don't do one in that size but Uniroyal do. Jim73 or IOWAdz are your men for tyres!

I wouldn't ever bother with any 145 size tyre on any Marina or Ital; minimum width should be 155 for a 1.3 and 175 for a 1.8. Anything less is too small a tyre for the car, and 155/175 are easier to get than 145.

The best size for standard rims is 165 13 although i have squeezed 175 70 13 on them as well !!! as for bfgoodrich they are now part of the michelin range anyway , and as for the price they are quite expensive but you get what you pay for !!!! ask Ben what he thinks of his michelins ??? but then Adz will disagree with me !!

165 13 i would say is ideal..ever followed a marina with 145s on..much better road holding with a set of alloys fitted. half the cars at the national had alloys fitted...........................clan chieftain.

165's came as an option on estate cars.

I run 6j wide rims with 205's on the back with no spacers. That makes the old girl grip!!

I have 175 s on my 1800 coupe and 145 s on my 1300 mk 3 and to be honest the 145 s look so skinny they look like bike tyres the arches are just crying out for wider wheels/tyres

HI
Has anyone tried 185/65 x 13's . (On tc rims)
Will they fit ?
Are they better or worse than 175/70's?
For the record I always try to run either Pirelli p6000 or Michelin Primacy
On my 500k pug.(Although it has 195/65x15's). I go through about 3 complete sets per year and have found these to give the best wet & dry handling/grip. And, of course, wear for my high mileage.
As for budgets...forget about them for serious work. Youre better off with a set of partworn Michelin/Goodyear/Pirelli's if you know what to look for.
