TC or GT wanted for magazine photoshoot

The club has been asked to source a club car, either a genuine TC or GT for a photoshoot in January, at a race track in the Midlands.

Don't have all the details yet. Any offers?

New info - article will be 'Sporting 70s saloons compared'. So the others are Vauxhall Magnum, Dolly Sprint, Cortina GT, Hunter GT… and Whizzo Williams is the test driver.

Additional info

Driver history here - well known in historic racing circles, been racing since classic cars were modern.

I would think that a Mk2 GT or HL would be best bet with later front geometry and anti-roll bars. Although a well sorted poly bushed TC would be good. An early standard TC would be a nightmare with suicide suspension geometry and bound to come last.

Could keep quiet about my engine?

Yes it's totally standard....... :)

Someone must have a decent TC surely??? Could be a great feature.

I have but I don't want it thrashed around a track. They proved themselves years ago so I feel they don't need to prove it again
Plus to far and probably wet cold and I have had enough of wet this year to last several

I got back and asked some more questions;

1. Standard or modified - standard
2. Previously used in another magazine - preferably not, but not THAT worried
3. Expenses for travelling - Exes paid (We provide tea and sarnies)
4. All day or half day - all day

Maybe we should secretly build a TC for them. Obviously look standard...... :) and not let on.
I'll donate my standard looking engine. someone else suspension (though I've poly bushed springs and spax's)
Then all spannered together by someone that knows what they are doing! Not me then!
Then present it as someone's pride and joy............ :)

Yes i have heard they pay expenses but never received any!
If you did that David it would still be a waste of parts as they will probably knacker something racing it about :rolls:

Mines available as long as they tie it to a transporter and tow it around the track by a focus RS!
