Serious question - Admittedly I've only been driving for 10 years, but I've never actually seen an estate for sale!
Were they a bit like Triumph estates in that there wern't a lot made in the first place?
If you've got one put some pics up.
Jon.

Estates were fairly common, and came in 1.3, 1.8 and 1.7 guises, throughout the Marina & Ital lifetime.
Survival has been poor as they tend to get well used and people have to want/need an estate before keeping them on the road. Clan Chieftain has a good one with an appearance in a recent TV series.
Not sure who else on here has one though.

They turn up occasionally. Martin Wallis had an Aconite one a few years ago which he offered to me, it was then sold to the Thornbers and has now been restored
There is one in Norwich somewhere, which may be for sale but I've yet to get round to asking about it. There was also one being broken in Norwich recently (apparently the guy had another).
There was a pretty nice one that was offered up for free on this forum but it has now been banger raced.

Aconite is a fantastic colour. I've yet to see a BL car that it doesn't look great on.

Jan Ivar has a rather nice white one and a bracken one.
Phuq on here has a Tundra estate.
The Thornbers also have Dawns Pageant one.

Seeing as Itals are rarer than Marinas I would say so. There are a couple out there still though, including a very nice red one!

there are 2 in Norwich a Sand glow driven by an old chap who I've waved at but yet to meet (always seem to be going in the opposite direction) and a "red shed" primer and other spray cans from the looks lol driven by a hippy type who again waves but never going in the same direction.. one day i guess I'll meet them to talk to, i like estates, but coupes come first then Mumford convertibles, then Estates pick ups and vans and finally saloons..

The one I know of in Norwich hasn't moved for some time now. It was at a garage somewhere, can't remember where though

Tiny's one is lovely...
There was one for sale at a breaker's near here (Twigworth) relatively recently (i.e. within the last few years).
I still have Mud, my Tundra Mk1, although she's looking a little dog eared around the edges and is less than healthy in the engine department she's still very solid where it counts and will be getting some TLC including a TC transplant once we've finished a full going through of my friend's Dolomite- it'll probably be next year now, hoping to get the Dolly done for Summer but we'll need a break after that. I may try and get the work done to get Mud MOT'd this year(will definitely need some welding, and brakes/ supsension going through) and drive her for the Summer- would be nice to get her to the Nationals.
At the "Gloucestershire Steam Extravaganza" last August, the MOT ran out soon after and she's sat since, but does get run up and moved occasionally.
She's never had an interior to speak of since I've had her- if anyone has a rotten one with a good interior (set of seats, headlining, doorcards and whatnot) I'd be keen to hear from you... need a good pair of front doors (ideally with glass etc as the passenger window runners are mullered) and a bonnet too- don't want much do I
Her continued existence is purely down to another forum member who I believe rescued her from a scrapyard many years ago and embarked on an extensive metal replacement programme! I think she'd lived in Cornwall all her life until I bought her.
