I have just heard the Dave Bristowe (West Country Area Rep) and forum member "black tulip tc" died this morning of pancreatic cancer.

He was a long standing club member and a great ambassador for the car. He also hosted the National last time we visited the West Country. Who can forget the road run with a finish at a Scrumpy cider farm.

Oh dear, what a bloody shame, I have known Dave for over 25 years, he is one of the clubs longest standing members having joined back in 1986, he was in fact member no 34!, at that time he had a nice clean 1300 Coupe (NGC 666P) which he kept spotless as always with his cars.
I first met him at our first club meeting at Longleat back in `86 and we were firm friends since, he was always a great supporter of the Marina and a great club-man, i will miss him, one of life`s true gentlemen.
I hope his car will be found a good home and live on as a testament to his love of the Marina.
Rest in peace old friend.
Frank.

Hi Frank

I understand his son will be keeping the TC, Dave was a lovely bloke, I really only got to know him when we got involved with setting up the National at Sparkford, but I made a friend then and he will be missed.
