Look what I brought!!!!
Brought them from the Peter 'The wheel man' Wood and they look the doggs!! Will probs fit them onto Sam's TC for now. Been looking for a set of these for ages!! Set of 5 too!

They are nice looking. Do them centre caps push in from the back or front? My center caps push on from the front but interfere with my lug washers.

Chris the caps pop in from the rears. They bolt up really nice.

Speaking of Peter Wood - what is the status of his cars..?
Havn't heard much from him lately.
Still have a photo of his yellow Princess with Stag wheels somewhere on my puter..

Why would you advise removing the Yokos? On 10" rims (ie Minis) the A008s etc are the tyre to have. Are the larger sizes a different compound, or just generally thought of as crap?

No !! i find they wear at least twice as quick as a michelin does !! although on the 10" rims they seem to do ok !!
To me buying a cheaper tyre is just false economy , my first set of michelins lasted me nearly 10 years and are in fact sat on Franks TC outside his garage with about 2mm left on them !!
The other thing is ride quality and peace of mind when doing any long distance driving , you'll find the cheaper brand tyres need more balancing and the need for those ugly balance weights !!

He's around here somewhere! There is a pic of his 1300 coupe around this PC I'll dig it out. The Princess has now been sold I think.

Worked and lived in portsmouth for 4 years Paul and seen the evidence with my own eyes !!
As for kleber they've been bought along with BF Goodrich , kormoran and Taurus to name a few and a lot of the cheaper brands buy the old michelin patterns when michelin introduce a new one !!
As for handling in the wet i would have to agree with Adz that goodyears have probably got the edge , although they dont last as long !!
Still you could ask Ben how the michelins handle as he drives like a loon !!

The Michelin's I have are fantastic. They are a much harder compound than the Yoko's I used to have and also give a firmer ride but I know will last longer the way I drive! Plus I am safe in the knowledge that they will be able to cope with the extra power SLK has now.
