For the couple of months I've had this '77 van, it's leaked badly from the windscreen area.
I've had a new windscreen rubber put in, which the fitters cleaned up the metal before it went in and was silicone everywhere. I've silicone up the two spare wiper hole bungs, and silicone around the wiper above the driver's side, where it's rusted through on a small hole.
I've ignored he two plastic bungs that the two points of the heater intake grill go into, as they have been sprayed over with paint.
And yet the water is still pissing in and dropping into the drivers side foot well, (excuse my language, I'm getting very upset about it all now!)

Help! where can it be coming in? and how to fix it

Could be coming in through the doors (they should have plastic over all the holes behind the door cards), through the door seals, doors can also leak if the weld holding the window frame to the door frame hasn't been ground back properly (the door can't seal against the door rubber then). It can also find it's way in around the door hinges, and courtesy light switches (on the A pillar). If the heater drains are blocked (two holes on the bulkhead under the bonnet) then water will come in via the vent on the scuttle panel.
Good luck, hope you can find the leak. My old saloon used to leak badly, in the end I just carried a sponge around with me!

It can also find its way in via the seam between the upper part of the scuttle and the rest of the bulkhead; I found a nice corrosion hole on the flange on one of my cars. Welded it up, no more wet.

thank you both, I will look at all the above! Don't think it's the doors though, have just put new weather strips in and both doors are bone dry.
the seam on the bulkhead may be the culprit,as also the heater drains, will check both very soon.

Have a check through the old threads on the forum - pretty sure windscreen leaks have been discussed thoroughly in the past. "Captain Tolleys" sealer was recommended here.

well, it turns out that the scuttle to bulkhead seam is the main culprit. as there's a few small holes under the rubber. I will be looking at it being welded up as soon as I can get my friendly welder to do it.
the drain plugs on the heater are now clear, and, in a fit of desperation, I spoke to the windscreen people who fitted the new windscreen rubber, and they say they didn't use any sealer, so that's going to be squeezed in, as soon as we have some dry weather!!
