1980 Marina - any useful parts?

Post by BrownMarina » Fri Jan 10, 2014 4:21 pm

Hello

I'm a solicitor acting for the executors of a lady who passed away last year. In the middle of her rather overgrown property near Cambridge is a brown 1980 Marina 1700. According to the DVLA it was last on the road in 2000. I can't find the V5 for the car, because the house is in a terrible state.

I visited the house today and took lots of pictures of the car. As you can see, it's in very poor condition, and probably well beyond saving. It may yield some useful parts though? It will be going to scrap in a few weeks time (unless anyone is mad enough to want the whole car!), but I wondered if there were some useful parts I ought to take from it that enthusiasts might want? I own several classic Volvos myself, so I know how rare and useful some bits can be!

Sion, Thanks for posting,i'm sure there will be something of use to somebody there. Can the parts be removed in situ?

Thanks for posting, I a sure there are some useful parts on there that can be used.
Looks like she had a few cars there.
Looks like the Marina was driven in a gap to narrow for it looking at the wings?

Seeing the floor pans they look like they will just crumble so probably not worth saving as a whole car.
