indicator switch

hello all,ive a little mystery with my indicators.all lights work on hazards,and indicators work first thing in morning,and have replaced flasher unit.but when car is warm<,thats the body ,not the engine>like left in a carpark,my indicators wont flash at all for drive home.any ideas thanks

Check the hazard switch. All cables channel through this. There are also two relays. Have you replaced both, or just one?

Both sides, or just left or right? Both sides would point to the flasher, or it's wiring. One side only would point to a faulty light unit (or bad earth or loose wire). Check all the bayonet fittings are firm - a colleague found the bayonet fitting on the the low tension lead of his Lotus Elan had come loose and was causing an intermittent power loss (just needed to be "tightened" with a pair of pliers).

thanks for reply ill check the bayonets out,cheers we got to keep em on the road
