I get the feeling from the first picture and looking at 1973 Jubilees they must of made cuts and stopped dipping them in that magic rust inhibitor after 1972! :shock:

Nice link Jan , made interesting reading , I had to have a wry smile about the electro coating rust inhibiting paint though

someone painted over my rust inhibiting paint so it doesnt work any more

The secret was to get them rusty before applying the paint - standard BL practice.
