I think the builder used to be on this forum - had a Rover V8 powered Marina pickup.

Hi all - yep I am still here, just transferred the listing here too.

I know it's not got much original on it but it's a hell of a chassis now. I built it to take 300-400bhp so would be capable of handling even a hot TC motor :)

I'd love it to go to someone in the club so preference (on purchase and price) will be given to club members. The little rot it has is localised and in places familiar to us all. The parts are new and superb quality. It's built to drag race spec but for a road car so will take any battering you throw at it. It's the second time I've owned the car after it went to the isle of wight for some work by Frank and then to a guy in Reading who managed to lose the massive history file built up and leave it an orphan. It had everything from first sale so gutted to lose all that - that's the reason I decided it would be a worthy candidate for transformation. Sad really.

I still have the Corvette motor I planned on putting in it in the garage but that's sold now...

If I had the room I'd put it to one side and finish it another day but... well, you know how that goes :D

If you want to come and take a look then just drop me a message or email on me[at]robhadfield.co.uk and we can chat some more.

Cheers guys!
Rob

And yes, I did have the V8 pickup ...

That looks nice Kilroy - what's the suspension set up on the front? I don't think it's possible to fit an RV8 well without moving the steering rack and/or the lever arm shocks.

Mine was almost against the steering rack and was still too far forwards for any type of balance because the wheels are so far back in the engine bay.

Suspension is modified original Australian spec - has adjustable top arms.

It will not be my build, so not sure how engine placement will be handled.

All good fun though.. :)
