Looking at options for repairing Ozzy's damaged roof lining



Unlike UK coupes, the Aussie coupe includes the C pillar as part of the roof lining. iirc the UK has a separate moulding for the C pillar.

Most preferred would be to find a replacement roof lining, but I suspect they are made from unobtanium.

My local auto upholsterer can make a reproduction lining, but that wouldn't be completely authentic (or cheap ). However, as he will be recovering the seats and repairing the door cards, that might be a moot point anyway.

Another option would be to cover the damaged area with some sort of "grill", since the perforations look a bit like speaker grills.

I have a complete and good condition Mk3 headlining about to be removed from a body I am stripping.
You are welcome to it - no doubt it would need modifying for a Coupe.

Frankly - I cannot be bothered comparing one to the other - but if you can - and it works - yours for nix mate.

Thanks for the offer, Kilroy, but sadly the roof lining for the coupe is different at the rear to match the curved side glass and different slope angle of the back window. Pit the damaged area isn't at the front. :-(
