I'm struggling with uploading pictures

I though it was time for an update on the Marina as it's been almost a year since I bought it

The O series engine now starts and runs like a sewing machine. It starts instantly and having been fitted with new big end shells (mains were perfect), rings, head gasket and the refurbished ...

Well ap brake discs were a bust. Despite listing them on their website they didn't have them in stock.

He went away to order me a pair and came back with the news they couldn't get them anymore

Ordered some from earlpart at 60 per disc plus carriage

Iv been searching for a pair of discs for my Marina and iv been pointed to a company called apbrakediscs.co.uk

Having a trip down to them tomorrow hopefully

Can anybody tell us the main, big end and head torque settings for the 1.7 O series?

Since my last post here we've found out that the engine is Siezed

It's possibly overheated due to a split rad hose and the connector broken from the temp sender

So it's going to be an engine out job

Since I last posted my marina has been collected.

I'm going to get a first look at it tomorrow

Although I don't touch my cars myself I am a mechanic and I'm looking forward to getting into this job. Can't wait to get it home and do something positive with it, it looks like it needs it!

I know absolutely nothing about my marina at the moment until it arrives!

Am I right in thinking it's a MK3 marina fitted with a E series engine? This is a new venture for me!

No offence taken, I haven't seen any comments about the car anyway!

They just don't seem to come up for sale very often. It was only on eBay a couple of days before I decided I was having it.

It's reportedly solid, I'm just hoping it's not too corroded where it really matters.
