Nolathane are available.

Those or polyurethane are best.

I found out my front bushes are due for replacing at the last Warrant of Fitness.

So where in NZ can I get some - I see a guy on TradeMe has some but they only go to 1974 and mine is a '79. (Apparently the ones on Trade Me won't fit, is there really a difference between '74 and 79 struts).

The bushes are the one that fit on the struts that run forwards from the bottom suspension arm..

The seller is based in Aussy, where they only had the Marina from 72-74. :geek: , but he's reselling the Superpro bushes recommended by Kilroy.

It's the same manufacturer as in the UK, except they are called SuperFlex over here, same part numbers, same for all years up to last Ital.

Decided to take the DL saloon for MOT yesterday (despite the fact I probably wont drive it again this year!). Unsurprisingly it went through OK although with an advisory for a slight blow on the exhaust. I had often wondered what the cause was, didn't take long when I looked at it up on the ramp- the clamp that goes on the gearbox was missing! Sure I have a spare somewhere so will do that sometime before next season. Now back up to two roadworthy Marinas, wish every car was this easy... Just spent the afternoon dealing with Helen's Renault 5 which had decided to flood. Touch wood it seems OK now. It wouldn't be so bad but I was in a rush to get it back up and running as the Fiat Seicento she bought a couple of weeks ago to use over winter to stop the Renault getting ruined has decided to start playing up. Changed the crank sensor on that but no joy, next step will have to be diagnostics... Wish everything was as simple as a Marina!

They usually make their own! This was a flooded engine but one day it did mysteriously fill with water inside. Not done it before or since!

Managed to get out into the garage today and treated my van to new back brakes and an engine service, just the bit welding to do now. Happy days.

Fitted original centre caps to my van's wolfrace wheels and waxed underneath arches and chassis rails.

Nice dry day here, so took Gabby out for a run, only about 25 miles, but saves brakes etc rusting up.
She went well & is tucked up again now... Gil.

all I need now is an exhaust valve.
