Jim, One question, did you not check they fitted before painting them!!
I know th etyre will make a small difference but it would have ruled out a bit :?
I am sure they will fit though

I am sure they will fit, but you may need spacers. I have reproduced below part of a table published in the April issue of Practical Performance Car.
I think that this is why Dolomite wheels need spacers and judging by the measurements shown Maestro / Montego wheels will too.
The obvious wide steel wheel here is the TR7 - they are 6" by 13" MarinaMadBaz showed me a set on one of his Marinas a couple of years ago. This also means that TR7 alloy wheels should be OK - if you like the styling.

Yes they do fit! ! We offered them up to a car over at Franks earlier this year. It has taken until now for us to paint them!
If anything it may need a slight shim spacer on the front but no extended studs. I've used them before!

Ben,
Are those Montego wheels 13" or 14" diameter?
14" would be cool.

HI,
These I had fitted to my Montego TD for a while with 205/50 tyres
I never ever lost grip with these. Looked the doggys delectables.
They also did MG Maestro wheels in this pattern but were narrower by an inch or so I seem to recall. I had a set of them also but didnt look right on a monty. Had 185 tyres on those compared to Montego 195's

Indeedy they doody! I used Grayston spacers on the front (but bespoke stud/spacers would be better) and just straight bolt-ons to the rear. I want to increase the rear track a bit as well to improve the looks (a bit arse-narrow at the moment, like a Triumph Dolomite.....) but seeing as the Graystons are 32mm wide, the offset for the Monty is 35 and the Marina needs 13, I'm only 10mm over what is recommended. I could easily lose that with bespoke stuff as there is ooodles of room between the tyre and upper strut.
(I need to drop it 1" front and rear as well to get the stance right......)
I also noticed a geezer in Gt Yarmouth is running what look like 17" polished alloys on his 1.3 Coupe - looks da mutts!
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

Looks very nice. The wheels from "marktplaats" were a bit expensive (350 euro)
What price do they in the UK?

Have a look on UK ebay. You never know!
Failing that someone may know of a montego in a scrap yard here in the UK

Got my eye on some new wheels myself.
A friend texted me tonight to point me in the direction of these...

Needless to say - thats my bid on them..
Now I just have to remember to check it again tomorrow night.!
Not sure how the offset will go - but I don't really mind, as I have found a local engineering outfit who will fit 7" rims onto my centres for $45 a corner - and supply the rims for another $45 each.
These centres look worth the effort, and are pretty rare over here.
Cheers all,
Kilroy

Hi Kilroy
They look like they have already been banded once!
They are Triumph GT6 rims and would have been 5 1/2" or 6 " originally.

Chris
I figured they were GT6.
Some wanker pushed me to $130 - but they're mine and I'm pleased to have them - they can only get more scarce.
These were 5.5" and the two banded are now 6.75" - but if the backspace doesn't suit, I will have 7" rims fitted to these centres with the backspace I want - don't wish to use spacers.
They are 100 miles away - will go for a drive on Sunday..
Cheers,
Kilroy
