I know I am bumping an old thread here but I thought I would give a link to a macdroitwich thread here, it seems that the Marina concept car is back at Gaydon but is sitting in a compound at the back of the building soaking up some British rain with a whole bunch of other rare BL tin.

a sad sight indeed. Hopefully they'll come around and store the cars indoors before too much damage is done ..

Apparently they have been moved to an area out of sight but still in the open.

Yes this is disgraceful, I've downloaded some pictures, look away if you are easily annoyed.

The last Ital and the SUV there, along with the 6R4 Metro prototype, last Allegro to roll of the line etc etc etc.

Some rare stuff here, including the Metro saloon prototype and an all aluminium MG Metro etc etc etc.

The ECV3, a very advanced car for its time, perhaps more advanced than 90% of new cars as it could do over 60mpg.

Gaydon has let the Allegro Club look after a cutaway Allegro for a number of years now, the club stores and looks after it, in return they can display the car to promote the club. I think Gaydon can ask for it back at any time to display in the museum, but I can't see that happening soon.
Why not ask the muesum to do a simular thing with the SUV and Ital, in return for looking after it (and saving them money) they would still be Gaydons property, but they could then be used as publisity for the club as well as making sure that they remain in good condition.
Worth a punt Ben?
Better than seeing them rot in that car park.
