correct that is the same car fitted with a 253 holden V8 :) and yes the info i got is that the aero is from special tuning
locast bryan if you are after "racing marinas" the dry red version in the folder on the group is at Mt Cotton hillclimb
track at it's famous 'nut' corner. this is actuall a very tight hairpin coming straight off a 1in5 hill and the nuts stop you better than any sand trap,(no not from personal expereance  )

I have been building A v8 rover engine 3.9 Marina for a couple of years. Most have the rad out of the front as the rack and pinion is over the firewall. I removed the axle braking system etc and replaced with beam axle from MGB. That involved removing firewall and taking back into cab 6", is well weighted now as is perfectly balanced. Cobra gear stick as the LT77 box took the remote 6" behind my seat. Has weiland blower and offenhauser manuaofod plus ram air from mr. muscle. Fed by holly 600cfm. Rear is jag irs with non slip diff. Has steel arches all round , is chopped and raked. Hope to have a site up soon to accomadate it. We are at the moment building a Hot rod site where this will be shown in the build stage. Hope to complete in 24 months. Any one wanting to email me in the future my works address is sales@edacomputers.co.uk By the way the Ozzie man has slowed down on his build as seems nothing has happend in the last two years. But he did inspire me. Ken

notthatmarinaman has been having a go slow on this project only because he has been working on the house. not to mention a new tow vehicle a MK1 6cyl marina wagon that needs work
that might be leyland powered in future.
he has been setting up a newer engine for the sedan which is a 4.8 litre rover fuel injected. :D
no cutting of firewall has been done just a bit of strengthening.
this being an Australian Leyland Marina the rack had already been raised 30 odd mm to accomodate the 6cyl
i'm even tempted to get my red marina triumph engined car back to put a 3.5 or even a 4.4 in it as i had the LT77
in it already
