I think that after seeing how many SDLs and TCs are registered as Deluxes we really need to take the 'model breakdown' figures with a large pinch of salt, although the total number should be reasonably accurate. Unless someone knows where there are over 120 1.3 Deluxes hiding that haven't been seen before
I wonder if the MK3 and Ital are more accurate? The numbers appear to be more evenly spread across the board so maybe the dealers started recording the cars correctly?!

Will the above figures include Marinas like mine were the make/model has been recorded incorrectly? Admittedly I haven't come across another like that so I don't think it is a common problem.

The figures are only what DVLA have them recorded as so yours will be in there but not as a DL.

These figures WON'T include such cars like Fruitys Jub, Barmys Special and many more not sorned or taxed in recent years. If the figures above are true and going on what I know is around Devon not on the DVLA's system I guess there could be easily 2000 cars out there...............

It seems like lots of the cars coming out of the woodwork haven't been SORN'd so it will be interesting to see if the numbers rise in the years to come, although the howmanyleft figures still show the numbers falling year on year for both licensed and SORN vehicles.

Just thinking of a few I know recently:

Fruity - one know to DVLA, one not.
Barmy - one know to DVLA, one not.
Myself - Both known to DVLA.
Local member - four known to DVLA, approx 5 not ( not sure how many cars he has!!! )

So that means there is roughly the same number of TCs SORN as Taxed ones then

I suppose this is an reasonably accurate list.
However a car not sorn'd, off road (i.e. Not Taxed), and before 1999 will be on the records
of the DVLA (like mine) but possibly not qualify for this list.
So yes it could be bigger.
