Ah, yes, looking at some pics of Kilroy's Mk 3, I can see the seam at the top of the windscreen pillar level with the top corner of the windscreen, and on the rear window level with the bottom of the air vent. Looking at a 1972 Aussie TC coupe and the 1972 Jim Richards ST rally Coupe, I can see the top of the pillar is smooth.

Interestingly, when I look at a 1975 NZ assembled wagon, the seams have been filled, so that must have continued locally long after it stopped in the UK.
