actually that flat front Transit should be a V 4 cyl as the original 6cyl Transit had a pushed out front to fit the bigger
engines of 200ci (3.3 litre) and the 250ci (4.1 litre) {local ambulance station had a few of these back in the late '70's}
i like the 1750 Maxi motor in front of the cop car[/quote]

Hi carl
Good spotting, the E series Is from one of my spares maxi's and the flat front was originally a V4, but has been retro fitted with the 250 six, I just dont like the Bullnose, so we got it to fit without changing the nose, you do have to cut the firewall tho :D

To celebrate yesterday's rare astronomical event, did you sit in the Transit and play this song? :-D

I was talking to a friend the other day and she mentioned that she would be taking a taxi from the church to the reception, cant have that I thought.
She also mentioned she'd like a classic Jag, me too I said.
As if by Magic one appeared in my drive. (Trade me you have a lot to answer for!)
Bored with waiting for my other projects to be finished, I bought another one :-D

Series II, say the rego papers (raised front bumper and split grill :geek: ). First reg 17/6/74. Should be locally assembled (at Nelson) from ckd kit. A unique feature was the black vinyl mats sewn onto the carpets in the front footwells featured the British Leyland 'L' logo :crazy: .

Very nice. :-D
