Wow that's a really early one then Tony, must have been updated by the dealer?

EEA 462J had chassis number 5055 and that was one of the earliest cars known to the club I believe (Although I think Frank's J plate one is earlier?).

Anybody know when a car with chassis number of 75,000 or so was made? (mine!)

Still waiting on the info from Chris to pop into the census. I may be able to do a search criteria based around your own numbers.

I passed on some info to Frank some time ago on a coupe which he believed may have been one of the earliest coupes still surviving. Don't know if Frank still has the chassis number and so on of that one. It apparently only lives 400 yds from my house and I didn't even know it was there. Unfortunately the owner is very guarded and I doubt if I can get the info again.

Finally cleaned up the dirty chassis plate and replace the 'B' with an '8'.
Must've been entered on the logbook incorrectly.
I guess that makes it in the 85000 range.
Would they have made that many cars by March 72?

Mine is chassis 75000 or so and was registered in May 1972, but I am certain it's older as it has quite a few early car features in it. I think mine is more like January/February 1972.
