Just thought i'd add a pic of the 14" revolutions i have which i suspect are the same as Chris's, also some rare Slot mags in a 14". As a rule i find any wheel with up to a 4"/100mm backspace will go on a Marina no problem without the need for spacers

They do look the same don’t they. I am looking for one more for a spare if you come across any, rather than carry an MGF Steele spare wheel, plus different nuts etc.

Wow those revs are nice.
If you find a set of 14" in that condition I would be interested.

Serious paintwork envy! they look brand new, the slots look good but the tyres are maybe too small.

Is that Teal blue on the car with the revs on? I need a new blue for my estate and can't make my mind up yet.

Personally I think that the amount of air between the tyre and the mudguard makes the greatest visual impact with wheels.
I am not a proponent of suspensions that are so altered that they offer no user-friendly compliance, but with the Marina there is plenty of manoeuvring room.!
I stuck with 13" wheels and tyres of a similar overall diameter to standard so that speedo accuracy was not effected.
Adding width to the rims gives the advantage of having more rubber in contact with the road surface so that adhesion is improved, and if one is adding more horsepower, that is virtually a must.
Additionally, wider rims obviously have to be extended outwards due to the limitations of backspace. This has the effect of increasing the track width which makes the vehicle more stable under cornering conditions, and lowers the cornering c of g.
Interestingly, lowering the seat height does the same, as the occupants are usually the heaviest single components inside the car...

That's a new one on me- I thought they were VW "Tarantula" wheels at first- very similar but definitely not the same (different centres/ hubcap arrangement).

Anything cast on the back?
Not many BL cars had 4 stud 14" wheels - MGB, Triumphs, Kimberly, Princess iirc.

Is there a prize for getting it right, or is it a genuine case of "Heck, I don't know what these wheels are off"?
