I've met Ivor and seen plenty of pics of the car but never actually seen it in the metal- cracking looking car though.

Glen, we'd better see that Mumford out next year, you must have nearly finished unblueing it by now!

That one looks like it'll keep you quiet for a while Alex. Worthwhile project though!

Not today, but on Sunday I stuck my Marina on a transporter and waved goodbye :frown:

It's alright though, she's just gone on an extended holiday for a bit of R&R (repair and repaint!).

 Under the bonnet is a thing of wonder! It's cleaner than their oven according to his wife.

Mind you having had it since nearly new helps.

Bought a nice set of slotmags, shame the car they are for is nowhere near hitting the road but they were a good price and local

All this marina activity is spurring me on. Just booked mine in at a garage for the clutch sorting and mot. Being moved a week on Saturday. I really don't want to sell this but I have 3 other classics and no room to store any of them. Decision will need to be made when it's motd.
Fingers crossed all goes ok and i can find storage.

Always worth having- they go for good money on eBay as they go nicely on small chassis Triumphs and aren't Minilites!

Mine are at the polishers currently actually- they probably won't go back on Mud so they are going on the Dolomite.

That Ital estate is superb - would love that, right colour/spec - perfect 8-)

In other news spent a day on the Mk3 - gave it a good machine polish and general touch and tidy ready for it's visit to the garage.
Checked all the lights/horn/wipers etc. Noticed the brake lights not working (found switch/a few clicks and tinkering and it's working) Horn - in op same again the switch on the stalk was the cause/ few clicks to bring back to life again.
Everything else ok.
Tried fitting the replacement tyre on the front n/s (so that one could go in the spare) but it was flat - only got sorted yesterday.Oh well.

Wipers need replacing (on the way) and noticed fan belt is falling apart - ordered.

Must admit after a polish and clean of the glass it's transformed it. My daughter was in tears this morning when she found out it might for sale when done - shes begging me to keep it (the pressure of the kids eh!!) If I can sort somewhere to keep it then it's going nowhere.

So Saturday it's off to the garage, sort the clutch/fit a new cambelt. Service and check over then taking for MOT. Fingers crossed, been off the road for 15 years now so it's time it was given a second chance. If I need any bits following the MOT - watch this space ...

Changed the gearbox on TDT today. I haven't test driven her yet as I had no gearbox oil and Halfrauds is closed. Seemed to be all ok clutching it on the driveway, gears engaging ok and no noise so hopefully TDT will be at the BL show this Sunday as well as PTH

Well you will be pleased to hear another Marina is on the road !! Mine passed it's MOT today first one since 2001. The garage had to fit a new clutch in the end as he says the plate was fixed (and still is) solid to the cover plate.
The MOT place is a fair way from home as it was done near where it was stored. Plan to collect it tomorrow. I dont know anymore at this stage only that it's fixed and MOT'd while garage had it they replaced the cambelt and did a few other minor jobs.

I'll update properly tomorrow when collected..
