For quicker steering, have you considered shortening the Steering arms (part FAM 1378 and FAM 1379).
These arms connect the upright to the rack. By shortening them it has the same effect as a quick rack.
It used to be done by a company called Fortune Engineering for the trials Marlins but I think the owner has retired.

Wouldn't you then have to extend the rack arms to compensate?

Shortening the arms as Jiversteve mentions will increase the amount of movement of the uprights for the same amount of travel in the rack.
Yes - the alignment would need adjusting, but not much. There would be enough available in the standard setup.
This mod would increase the loading on the rack however - so the steering would be heavier.
I suppose a quick rack might have the same effect.
Good ideas on here..

If I understand correctly, a quick rack only changes the steering ratio, but doesn't affect the steering geometry. So, fewer turns lock to lock, requiring more effort from the driver.
Shortening the steering arms will affect the geometry, possibly causing issues with bump steer. Should also reduce the turning circle, as the arms will pivot further before the rack hits it's limits. Will require more effort from the driver. iirc possibly illegal in NZ and Aus, or at least requires testing/examination by a certifying engineer.
