Hopefully but I just don't won't snow!! Oh or rain!
We had a dry day here today and tomorrow looks like it will be dry so got the car out for a while.
Every weekend has been wet :rolls:

The axle will either be fine or still leak but I have given its good shot.
The bearing was bugged and it has only been in there since the rebuild, all the grease was sitting in the oil catcher :rolls:
Not sure the bearing like the diff oil flushing through them.

I put a full tank of fuel in today as well  That should get me half way

Been working on my Pickup, fiddled with the wiring. Low and behold the fan now works, can't claim any real credit though. Shame it didn't work for the petrol gauge.

The fan works on both speeds but it rattles and doesn't push out an appreciable breeze, any ideas.

At least while the dash is out you can fix the petrol gauge... ;)

Actually - try cleaning the connection on the sender unit first.

Thanks Kilroy, already tried that, I also put a meter across the sender and got a reasonable reading, so probably not the sender.

I think the dial is the next thing to check, so dashboard out and look at the heater and fuel gauge at the same time. I'll probably replace it with Lee's four dial dashboard, as that's a known good'un.

Stripped down rear brakes, cleaned them up,freed off cylinders rusted to back plate. Went for MOT rest and passed! Tester said that the footbrake efficiency had dropped since failure on the handbrake? Any ideas why that might be.

Either air trapped in the rear cylinders, or rear brakes not adjusted up properly.?
