Thanks for the offer of the advice Frank. Haven't picked it up yet, hopefully on Sunday. I am going to do the restoration myself so any help I get will be welcomed. I know that it won't be easy but I have a plan of action whether it is right or wrong remains to be seen. If things go according to plan I hope to have it out for the summer of 2010. Gary.

I will send you a pm with my number, each one i restored i learned something with the Mumfords, they can be improved a lot too, on both mine and Garys (minispeedstars) Mumfords i fitted 2"x1" steel box section inside the sills out of sight, this makes them much more rigid and reduces `scuttle shake`, if you contact Gary i`m sure he will send you some pics of the rebuild i did on his and you can see what i mean, the main worry with them is securing the door gap while the sills are cut off, you can get proper door bars from Sealey or just weld some steel bars across the aperture before you do any cutting

Have been running ideas around for a while now and had considered using 2"x1" box but was wondering where to secure it. The last one I did was a mini which had been bodged by a previous owner but I built a frame for that which ran up the A panels at the front and crossed under the dash and across the floor at the rear. It certainly strengthened it up. Glad that you have just confirmed that 2"x1" box can be used on the Marina as well. Thanks for the contact numbers I have a feeling they will be extremely valuable. Gary
