The other way it might happen is if accidentally a new member has been given admin or mod rights by accident and then uses the opportunity.

Also the post makes no sense now as I was not being threatened by anyone

I guess if you were going to hack it then you would bring the site down rather than change the odd post, just seems very odd.
At first I thought I was going mad, which at the moment would not surprise me

Did you miss my post above???

I quoted the bit you wrote and added the threatening bit! Like I said-it didn't appear and as I'd done it on my phone I couldn't be bothered to do it again. Obviously it didn't do it right and delayed it appearing too.
So no hacking or ghosts-just an iPhone working in mysterious ways! ;)

Getting back to the original topic for a mo if you dont mind :)

Something has been brought to my attension in passing that i'd like to get off my chest

Comments have apparently been made that the article reads as if i had claimed to have done all of the work myself including bodywork and paint etc

For the record, I have NOT made any such claim to Classics monthly or anyone else for that matter, and have never claimed to have done the whole restoration myself without help from others

Personally i can't see how this would be assumed, but would be interested on your thoughts

thankyou :)

That's well said Gary. It was plain to everyone on here as we'd seen all the pics that were posted.

I thought the article mentions Morris Services as the body work place which is Frank!
I think most knew that you did not do all the body work, but I know you helped out when the screen frame was cut off etc which was more than I could do
Seems odd for someone to make a guess at who did what?
Just looked at the article and it seems clear to me.

Great article, just waiting for Gary's white Mumford to be in there now :D
Or will it be a nice coupe in Met blue or another Jubilee :D

Doesn't read like that to me 8)

As for the numberplate thing, I got ticked off a few weeks ago on the way back from the pub in a random spot check, they were pulling every car through town over. Was quite suprised (car is a '74) and a little bit impressed to be honest. Got sent on my way with a "get them changed", suspect they had better things to do than fine a scruffy individual in an equally scruffy Marina £60 for having the wrong plates...

I'm happy to say that when we pay for car license plates, the state at least provides them... Leave it to Ol' Blightey to find another means to harass the general population whilst taxing them blind...wot? :? :!:
