One of my mates came up with it seems to suit it very well.

but you are right no one really wants a Marina apart from us hardy souls who continue to preserve the old girls. Hammond really does not like them but i dont like him so thats ok.

Still we will not let them win and i believe we still have the marina funeral to come as well, wonder how they will sell that one.

Bugger I have spent over a grand on mine already and it's nowhere near good yet
Unfortunatly you can spend as much as you want improving a Marina but it will never be any good.

as far as the "fast marina " name goes.....why not! although it would be a good as sub-section and then fill it full of well, fast marinas? if anything top gear are publicizing the fact that the marina is still with us and not confined to history, and now its finally been given a chance to redeem it self and succeeded, top gear have to feel like there in control and abuse it, so that they can keep up with the trend that newer is better.

if anything becomes of the situation lets hope it'll bring more awareness of a declining bread and butter car.
Morris marina 1.7 saloon in vermillion ish
1750 Austin Maxi in carmine
Rover 220 coupé turbo with T28 & Zs180 brakes in Nightfire red

Forget swine flu, climate change, the economy etc. That is the biggest problem the world needs to address confining the peice of crap that is the morris marina to history.

As for the name 'Fast Marina' that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Master,

you are absolutely correct, when i go into work tomorrow everyone will come up to me and ask,

Did you see top gear last night, stupid question as i always watch it?

Did you see the marina last night?

And some people hopefully may get an interest and buy one and keep it going, its the best we can hope for whilst TG carry on as they are.

Also in these BBC cash strapped times they are the perfect fodder for them beacuse they are dirt cheap, therefore only wasting a small proportion if the license fee rather than blowing thousands on an escort!!!!

Jezza must have a 1100 pop, only a person who has ever driven an 1100 pop and experienced the total lack of POWER can hold such vitriol for a negelcted classic that is Marina

The only thing classic about a Marina is its terribleness. Its' classically bad. As May said you need to preserve one as a warning from history.
