Rear shock absorbers

Hi folks, I bought a pair of shockers from eBay in Nov, the seller checked my reg and assured me they were the correct ones. (Can you see where this is going?!) roll on April and the nicer weather, and it was time to do the job. Turns out my original eyebolt top bush is ½” and the new one is 3/8”. I’ve tried contacting the eBay selling for a replacement /refund, but funnily enough he has cocked a deaf ‘un! Does anyone know please, of anyone who still sells rear shocks? I’ve tried the chap at Longbridge Motor Spares, but if he doesn’t return your call, that usually means he hasn’t got the part!

Cheers all.

Rob

I have Spax adjustables. Not cheap - but they do fit :-)

The crush tube in the middle of your shockers are quite thick, if you are careful you should be able to drill or ream out the holes to 1/2”.

Alternatively, if you can push out the existing crush tubes with some sockets in a vice, you could then push in some correct dimension tubes, either from your old shocks, or some stainless steel tubes. I think that these are the right dimensions, but if not SuperFlex have lots of alternatives. https://www.superflex.co.uk/proddetail. ... F460-2335T
