Can anyone advise on rear spring rating's.
Just Building up the rear end on the "plastic" marina and I'm a little concerned over the stiffness of the spring's. These are a 3-leaf springs and was wondering if the 2 leaf was ony softer (seen some on e-bay) or does anyone want to swap (these are like new). Has anyone got the weight rating for these springs. The rear of the car is so light it can be lifted up single handed without the body on, but then the car only weighs 650kg fully built anyway.

From memory - the three leaf springs are 130 lbs and could well be off an estate.

Most of the two leaf springs are 113 lbs and will be from a saloon or coupe. There are a few 'heavy duty' two leaf springs about (rare in the UK but standard fit in some export markets), they are rated at 130 lbs.

If your existing springs are estate then fitting saloon/coupe springs will create a lower ride height as the estates were designed to ride higher.
