Greasing prop UJ's

I've been trying to grease all the UJ's on my prop but can't get the grease gun nozzle onto any of the grease nipples.

I ended up removing one end of the prop to get the max clearance around the nipple but still the gun nozzle wouldn't fit, it fouls on the prop itself.

Is there something obvious I'm missing here? Please don't tell me I have to disassemble each UJ and grease the cups.

And I have already wasted £13 on the sealey AK447 needle nose adaptor, which they had helpfully sealed shut during manufacture so didn't work! Quite difficult to return after the hacksaw had been out!

Cheers in advance.

Hi mate you can get the longer grease nipples which stick out further in between the yokes, ive put these on most of mine and is a lot easier then to the grease gun on.
i presume yours still has the small ones fitted
i can help out on these if you get stuck let me know
best regards
barry

Good call.

I'll be sure to fit those when the current ones are done.

The interim solution has been taking a grinder to my grease gun nozzle!

Not sure you can leave the long ones in as they may fowl the uj. Mine have grub screws in which I remove and fit a long grease nipple to service and then replace the grub screw
