They are the same as the MGB. There are two types, the early one with an upright oil filter and the later one with a hanging filter. For a 1971 car it would be the upright filter. If I remember correctly, the centre of the crankshaft hole is deeper than if you measure at the edge of the hole, the counter-bore is the correct dimension for the spigot bearing, the centre hole is deeper to accommodate the tip of the input shaft that pokes through the bearing.
