Re: Fuel Lines

Thank you!
My next task will be finding them from the looks of it.
Wish I had started this job a lot sooner.
Still, learning a lot as I go.

Re: Fuel Lines

Hello all,
No prizes for guessing one of the jobs that I think needs doing on the TC saloon.
Does anyone know how much fuel hose to go for? And how much to pay?
Obscure questions I know, but better to ask and maybe get a recommendation or two than go off half cocked and get ripped off.
Thanks ...

Sorry to hear (and see) about the motor Sean, unlucky! Unfortunately there are little cherubs out there who have no respect for themselves let alone anyone else.

Sounds like the next car show I get to will be a bit of a "busman's holiday"!!

True...I thereafter ensured that the trolly jack remained in the boot just in case.

Think that used up one of my nine lives!!!

I was across last Thursday and snapped this...it's the floor I almost killed myself with by putting a scissor jack through. The sill was almost on then too but I couldn't quite get in to take a picture so that'll follow soon!

It was good to see you too. Sadly pressures of work have meant I've got no shows in so far (and that's also reason why it's better that Joe has the TC) but I was glad to escape to East Kilbride for an hour or two!!

It's always sad to see a TC go to the breakers Ray and I was determined this one ...

TC finally gets its full restoration

To be fair, I'd never really been happy with the way the TC looked and it always needed a full restoration. It might have taken well over a year to gather together all the relevant body panels and other parts that the TC needed but I've now got them. I'd intended to work on the restoration through ...

As always sir, as always...mind you, the opportunities for ale-drinking have corroded faster than my TC's o/s wing lately!!

It is quite a transformation, I'd seen the pics when it was on ebay and got a vivid description of the state the roof had been in. It's cracking looking now....and ...

Not bad Ray, at least I've some uses!!

You know me, I'm a work-a-holic (mention work and I get drunk!lol!)...the only time I get out and about these days is to be on the receiving end of a torrent of abuse.

That said, I have managed to get a trip out to cast an eye over Dougie's new Mk3 ...

Driving it without an MOT is an offence under s.47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 however there is a recognised exemption for taking it to or from a testing centre but only exists if the test has been previously arranged with the garage and must be by the 'most direct route'.

That said, driving with ...

My winter project is the TC...well actually, it was supposed to be my summer project but, you know, best laid plans and all that!!

I've managed to get a wrack of panels for it (just waiting on cover sills and floor pan arriving) so it's now just a case of putting them on!!

At the moment it ...
