Southern Shows!

Post by 1303rocks » Sat Jan 05, 2008 7:17 pm

Happy new year all! As the position of Local Area Rep for West Sussex is vacant (no, I am NOT available!) I thought I would post a list of shows that I hope to visit during the year. This is by no means a complete list, but its a start!

9th March: Morris day at Brooklands (MMOC contact: Cliff 01932 341096)

13th April: Southern Classics Car Show at Chichester College Car Park
http://www.southernclassics.org.uk/index.htm

17th/18th May: Beaulieu Autojumble

8th June: Southern Classics Car Show at Bewl Water
http://www.southernwater.co.uk/homeAndL ... ToBewl.asp

15th June: MMOC National, Sparkford and Bromley Pageant - decisions!

27th July: Amberley Working Museum Summer Classic Picnic
http://www.amberleymuseum.co.uk/index2.html

3rd August: Southern Classics at Worthing RFC

Think that will do for now. The Southern Classics club web site appears to have not been updated for 2008 yet, although the club mag had the dates in! So much for the web being quick.

I am looking forward to meeting more Marina Nuts this year, saw a couple at Shoreham last summer, but sadly not to speak to!

TTFN< happy tinkering!

Wooo! Sounds like a good line up!

The National will be good this year as there should be a few cars there and lots of friendly people to chat too!!

I will try and make it to a couple of others depending on time and if the car is back on the road!!

:!: I have just remebered this one too! Again the website is not up to date yet, but the basics are there. The people who organise it are her-in-doors's dads best friends! Seems they are very keen on anything a-series although most cars are welcome. I have never driven in Europe (even though I am a professional driver :? ) so this looks like a good place to start. Who can resist alpine passes, snow and Marinas . . . . .

Look out for a Green 1.3 Coupe at Brooklands and say hi!! My name is Jez, the 1303rocks bit refers to an old beetle I have, waiting to be sold currently! I will be wearing a Hammy the Squirrel t-shirt!!!!

 It must be me!! See you all at Brooklands First. Are we going to try and arrange a club area? Would be good to all park together in order to really wind up the Minor owners! I am sure I saw a contact number somewhere (club mag maybe) but cant find it now......

Sounds like a plan. I can bring the banners down and possibly get some other people from up here.. I may have to commandeer Furzey's 1800 and bung an MOT on it as SLK probs won't be running by then..

Trev (billytits) was on about Brooklands so see what he says!!
