don't know why they said that!! I hope there are no problems removing Laminated windscreens and refitting as I am about to remove rear and front screens on my project and I hope to put them back in!

I've never had any problems, just push the rubber out all the way round with a couple of blunt screwdrivers, don't pull on it from the outside as that could twist and split it..
If a link was changed to "ebay linky" then that was probably Sam, because she's sad..

Hi Larry, would it not be better to just pump windscreen sealer into the frame behind the rubber. I have done this with my Marinas and they haven't leaked since. I think that Auto Windscreens are just bullshitting you, I could maybe see their point if the window was toughened but all windscreens these days are laminated.

Consider it done then Larry, give me a few days as I have to nip down the road to London on Tuesday for a day or 2 so if you could dry out the windscreen rubber or better still harp the front up if it rains it will give the sealer a better chance as it won’t take if there is water in the rubber.

The only time i would think twice about removing a laminated windscreen is when it has a chip in it, as this really raises the chances of it splitting as you push it out, but if you are very careful it really should not be a problem  , the last screen i bought for cash from auto windscreens cost about £85.
