Ben's giving me a quote on transporting it :D I still can't believe my parents have given in to my desperate pleas...

Dear Eloues

Please do not assume us Southerners are not helping for any other reasons than the following:

a) We have full time jobs and lives and have not checked the forum thus rendering us oblivious to the fact Josh has a car
b) We do not have a car with a tow bar, thus rendering us physically unable to help.
c) We have looked at the forum and whatever reason have not seen the message, thus rendering us oblivious to the fact Josh has a car
d) We are a "Southerner" but still live far enough away to mean that realistically we are unable to help due to long travelling times/other commitments.

Yours sincerely
The Southerners

I have only just actually seen where the message is, as I am not looking for a car I don't tend to always read the classifieds.

Congrats on your car Josh, I am sure I will tag along with Ben to pick it up and check it out

Oh Paul, A: I think you put it here to have a jab at us Southerners.

And the return question for 500 is: Why didn't you write "Anyone available to help Josh move his car from A to B, any help appreciated"? Instead of insinuating that we are lazing around.

I would have hoped that you of all people would have realised from previous experience that you have to put a little more thought into messages posted here, because otherwise you end up pissing a lot of people off.

I shall await your reply of "Chill out Sam I just wanted to help Josh, you are making far too big a deal out of this. When it comes to Marinas we need to get them to people and everyone has to help and I was just giving everyone a kick up the ass, you are blowing this out of proportion, we need to help, everyone can help." Lather, rinse, repeat, see return question.

Love,
The Southerners

If you were to put up something to really have a dig at me then you would also know about it as it would be another personal attack and I think you have had more than enough warnings about that.

Also my dear it is well known that people in glass houses really shouldn't throw stones.

Personally I can't thank Uncle Frank, Jim, Becks, Ben, Furze, Andy, Paul, Steve, Trev and Dave (and everyone else I am too drunk to remember) enough for their help over the time I have had my Marina. They are always willing to offer help and advice and in the case of Jim & Becks a sofa, free tea and breakfast!

Please let's stop this arguing. I'm not in the mood for it, especially as this started out as a thread for helping me and it's making me feel guilty.
I'm not on best form.
The Marina has been stolen from it's storage space.

Elouse: I thought you were my "Bitch"?

Sam: Am I a Northener, cos am fae Scotland (mad jock and all that!)?

Josh (more importantly) what do you mean its been nicked?

No offence intended to the first 2 lines of this post, just a bit of light harted jesting

Sean (more of a central belter than a Northener cos they all walk about with kilts on and have hairy legs and also talk funny!)

I mean some git has got a trailer and targeted this car specifically and made off with it but left behind all but one of the seats for some reason. The police are onto it, hopefully because it's not a common car they'll recover it.
It was stolen from the current owner's garage.

Honda? How dare you mistake it for one  It's a 1962 BSA Bantam D7 which looks a lot different now as me and my father have just finished restoring it. I get motorbikes from my dad who has always been working on old bikes and at the moment has a 1975 Norton.
The thing is I can't take my test on the BSA as it's 175 not 125 and none of the 125 Bantams will reach 60mph so I'm going to have to take the test on a Honda :(
If the Marina is recovered then I will do some recommisioning on it and then I plan to make my parents drive it whenever I need to go anywhere and buy a Triumph Herald to restore completely.

Surly someone would have seen/ herd the car getting loaded on to a trailer as it’s not a 5 minute job. It sounds to me like it could have been one of the viewers who went to see the car especially if it was only advertised and locked in a garage, who else would know it was there?

Here’s hoping that the car is recovered and intact
