12 car 11th april

Post by crashbang » Sat Apr 12, 2008 11:38 am

well we was out in sussex last nite i had not even cleaned the car from the last one just top up the oil and we was off mixing it with all the moderns lost a bit of time on one tc6 to tc7 with cryptic nav some of the roads i had use before so that helped
mick started to get into it a bit more and the hand break turns around the sharp corners kept us on the move we only had to 3 point one so all in all we had a good run and when we got to the pub we found that we had got second out of 9 cars so one in the eye for the moderns

The "Brown One" does it again!!
As craig has mentioned above,we came 2nd out of 9 cars in the rally on friday night, again its mainly down to navigation that wins these events so a big thanks to craig for doing the business and allowing us to beat many of the usuaul crowd at there own game.
When the results were read out in the pub they did it in reverse order,he kept going down and down the list reading out the names and when he reached 4th position I thought they must have lost our results!!
When he called us out as 2nd place I just looked at craig and thought they must have got it wrong.....but no....we had actually done it

Time for the old girl to lick here wounds as the motor is still only running on 3 3/4 cylinders due to bits of piston missing and we have a loud clonking from the rear axle which we cant identify just yet,but apart from that it does steer and ride the bumps better than it should and it always gets us home...what more can you ask

With abit more work..........what do ya recon craig!!

it's not all down to the map work i think mick is being modest the bmw mini crew was unabell to keep up with you thay recond we was over 80 mph! and the pug (which was full rally spec) we keep in touce with that all the way and the speed we had in the corners was down to the driver. plus you lisen to me when we need to slow down for a junction how about doing a hisoric one next ?? :D :D
