Rattling Brakes
Hi Guys,
My brakes are rattling, I know it's the pads because when i press the brake pedal the rattling stops.
Is this a simple anti-rattle clip issue? I haven't looked yet, but my haynes manual makes no reference to it so I need to be sure of what i'm doing.
I just remember having this problem years ago on a panda, and having thought it was a costly job, it ended up being ill-fitted clips that when fixed solved the problem.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

i would have taken a look on them anyway.as i have experienced that the brake-material actually loosende from the metal backing once. it's an easy job just jack up the car (and put in on axle stands.... as they ALWAYS says
) and then you should be able too feel see and feel where the ratling comes from.

Hi James,
The part number for the Pads is TAR810 Ferodo Target or FDB810 Ferodo Premier. Disks are 824621 Brake Engineering you will get these from Dingbro but you will need to hold an account or know someone who has an account with them as they don’t usually sell direct to the public. Failing that you may be able to obtain these parts from other good motor factors. We have an excellent spares department at Marina Ecossee so an email to Ray (Generally1) could see you having the parts you require
I hope this is of some use to you
Cheers,
Sean
