Kilroys kountry kalendar..

Post by Kilroy » Mon Jun 09, 2008 12:44 am

Phew - don't try saying that with a mouthful of biscuits..!

Just a brief report from the dark side folks.
Went for a wee drive yesterday - the morning after a storm brought our first real taste of winter.
Who would have thought - last month I was doing this..

Image

.. couldn't resist this on the way home.. :)

Image

Then yesterday, we collected our new wheels and came home the long way, and it looked like this..

Image

We managed 250 miles on our little jaunt, which took us inland a bit..

Image

.. and of course, all this was achieved in the trusty estate - which has the fiercest heater. Jeez - one of them has spotted us - run..!

So this morning I am mostly trying the rims out - they came off a formula ford..

Image

.. so I'm thinking the balance factor should be pretty good..

Image

.. as they have been banded by about 1.5" for the rear, but standard something (GT6?) at the front, so they are 5.5j front..

Image

.. and 6.75j rear. I like the look of the Mk3 wheelnut covers on them, so I will turn a set down to remove the step that used to hold the plastic trims, and use them like this.
Of course, I'll only have short days to do this for a while - night comes early now.

Image

Cheers all - enjoy your summer.

Kilroy
