well i been out there today went to shop and thru a whole box of used switches - and managed to find a switch then fitted it - but remember i showed you the spring and white plastic bit for the slidy controls so off come the lower facia and refited the bits but the top one was sized so down went the parcel shelf and i started banging the control on the side of the heater - which freed it up and then turned on the switch and i got attacked by flying debris, leaves and crap the was blocking up the unit so i now have a fully working fresh air and heater unit, then i got my interour light working, only things not working now are the reverse lights,

yay i am not alone then lol - well it was fun trying to work out what parts went where as the haynes manual does not show it or say about it - but i got there eventually - and then today at the uxbridge auto show i found the marina operation manual (part number AKD 7555) and there it is in all its glory , a nice diagram - which i could of used yesterday , and looking thru it, it is going to help me in the future so so so much

For reversing lights, it is either any/all the connections or the reversing light switch which is on the leaft side of the gear selector housing.
The reversing switches are the same as a Mini switch so quite cheap, but check all the wiring first, all you need is one dodgy connection.
It is possible to change the switch without dropping the gearbox, as long as you can get underneath the car.

I would check to see if there is a live supply to one side of the reversing light switch first and if not maybe run a temporary fused live wire from the battery and test it thay way then check the switch for continuity open when out of gear continuity when in reverse according to the haynes manual the supply to the switch (46) is fed via a fuse (6) the wiring should be green so not really a lot to go wrong
there is also a inhibitor switch on an auto version !!
good luck
good luck
that'll ding dang do for me !!
