IoW Countdown....

Post by ~Sam~ » Wed Aug 13, 2008 11:09 pm

So it has been mentioned in various other threads so it probably deserves it's own one now!

It's looking like it will be another great turn out.

JBL will be there even if I have to push the fooking thing! Clutch issues, first thought it was a stuck clutch but as the pedal keeps going slack it seems the system is full of air at the moment, 4 bleeds so far (!!!!) so hopefully when it stops pissing it down with rain we will be able to get the rest out! Hoping I don't need another clutch master cylinder :( My dad has one of those fancy bleed things that pushes air though to clear it so I am half inching that. At least she will be looking a lot smarter when we come back from the isle with her new interior :)

I was at work! Some of us have to work at work! And then I forgot by the time I got home..

And not tuned yet due to the fact there's no clutch!

Update

Took a mobile call from Richard Clayton on IOW today (Sunday) whilst I was at Knebworth.

They are dodging the rain-drops and have 20+ cars by mid morning - sounded like they are having fun.

Update...
Had a fantastic day in the end!, weather cleared up by 11.30, the sun came out and all was well, thank god! ...things certainly looked dodgy first thing though, 24 cars in all on the day with loads of things to see and do for everyone, looks like Robin Hill could be a permanent replacement for Calbourne at this rate :D Outstanding!, congrats to Jimbo for sorting things out re the venue, and his sister Julie was really helpful and made us all welcome...roll on 2009!
