Interesting since the company that make them do them for hundreds of classics. I've even got a pair on the Capri and have done over 3000 miles on them. Like you say hope it is a one off.

I have had a pair on the Suntor for 6 months and they are showing signs of cracking as well.

To be fair on this subject it is probably worth pointing out , that the car in question that the hose failed on had probably got very hot at times due to a leaking bypass hose on the way to the IOW. I have known genuine hoses fail under those circumstances, so this may well be a one off after all, and to be honest, after 18 months use it is possible for any part to fail, what company these days guarantee their goods beyond a year....not many. Still i`m sure the club will look into it and we will let you know what they say at the manufacturers

Mine have only done 50 miles although they have been on for 6 months and the car hasn't overheated.
