A Funny thing happened.......

Well, the other day I had to go off to another depot to pick up some stock. Off I went in the 1.3 Marina to do the collection. On the way back, travelling along the outside lane of the A14, I was about to pass a lorry. I was in a little world all of my own when, as drawing level with the back of the lorry, I happened to notice the driver in his rear view mirror. The guy was in hysterics . I thought "strange bloke" then as I got nearer he reached his hand out of the window and gave me the thumbs up. I thinks great a Marina admirer. Then he points to the car in front of me, which I had been behind for some time, and still laughing the guy shouts, only just heard him, go on mate pass him. I then realised that the car in front was a 57 plate Porsche :roll: . I immediately looked at the speedo and realised I was doing 80 . Who the heck needs a Porsche when you've got a Marina. Just wish J.C. had seen it. Might have kept him quiet for 2 seconds .

Not quite in the same vein - but I thought funny anyway.
Chap across the road has quite a large vehicle collection.
Rare stuff.
A Gordon Keebles, some Russian rear-engined air-cooled V8 (I believe there's a warrant out for his arrest in East Berlin, for taking it out of the country..), 50's 2-door Plymouth, TVR Griffith, 36 Ford Coupe, blah blah, you're getting the picture.
Averts his eyes when I drive up the street in my Marinas.
Other day he says - "you're sick Kilroy".
I say - "We're both sick Geoff - I'm just doing it on a smaller budget..!"
Wanker has never even driven a Marina.
Let alone one of mine.
Can't wait to blow his Porsche Spyder off....
