Gold mk3 from Ebay

Post by MARINAMAN480 » Fri May 01, 2009 6:37 pm

Hi all i recently won this off ebay check link

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Morris-Marina_W0Q ... 240%3A1318

does anyone now know the where abouts of it as when i rang the seller to confirm collection dates again for this weekend he had already sold it to someone else thinking it was me i live in kent and the person he said he sold it to came from surrey

i am very annoyed as was looking forward to having this marina as it is identical to another i already have and also the wife was looking forward to it too as it was going to be hers to drive to shows etc

many thanks Lee

That sounds like a nasty thing to have happened to you, Lee. Have you been in touch with ebay regarding this matter? If not do it now. The seller would have known that it was you who bought the car unless he has not wanted it to go for as little as it did and is holding on to it to relist at a later date under a different username. Keep us updated on this please.

I may not be understanding the full story here but the ebay listing says "reserve not met" therefore he is not obliged to sell it to you....? Perhaps i've missed a bit here?

after the auction closed he sent me a second chance offer at a negotiated price and i used the buy it now option on it and spoke to the guy over the phone ans arranged for this weekend collection as was busy last weekend i then sent him e-mails confirming this and got no response i also left an phone msg on his mobile as he did answer. on the friday i rang to confirm with him we still ok for the arranged collection date and he told me it had gone and someone from surrey had collected it on monday his wife delt with it apparently and rang him and they let it go.
i have left this guy negative feedback and been in touch with e-bay
