*** MUMFORD G.T IS THIS THE ONLY ONE LEFT? ***

Post by The original northen boy » Thu May 28, 2009 12:46 am

After one of our frequent natters, with fellow Northern boy Brian (marina-brian) the subject was the recent white Mumford on Flea-bay 1800 super deluxe,to cut the story short,Brian informed that the Mumford he has in his collection is a G.T on i believe a P plate.

I had always thought the car was 1800 T.C but no it's a 1800 G.T,all the standard MK2 fixtures and fittings are there as well as a Rokee walnut dash and the original PYE FM bush button radio is still there. And perhaps it might have been the last Mumford too be made.Sadly i don't have any photos but i'm sure that Bri will be able to put some on here (if he can dig the car out from the stuff he has on the top of it) do you know of this one Garry?

Ay up fellas,

I'm going only on the comments of Mr Saunders, but i did ask him if he meant 1800 Special, but he categorically told me "NO" it's a G.T and said that there was possibly another one made also.
I will try to clarify matters,by giving young Brian a call and getting some more details about the G.T(special?) or perhaps he might even place a response himself.

If its still LMY 122P its a Special as the vin number is MM2SK"N"5006M  ("N" stands for Special) LMY 122P was registered 15/12/1975

I've got another 6 cars after this one on my list, last one i've got was registered 25/1/1977 a Tahiti Blue mk2 1.8 SDL
If a link was changed to "ebay linky" then that was probably Sam, because she's sad..

That's the one Gary.It was jade green metallic before being painted russett brown .I'm sure there was a picture of it on the forum ages ago, posted by yourself or Frank.

I do believe that Brian intends to upgrade it to GT spec, perhaps therein lies the confusion

All

I have deleted a number of posts from this subject as the conversation was getting increasingly antagonistic and personal.

Lets call it a day and move onto other subjects.
