It seems to have been sorted now!
I took the fusebox out ( leaving the loom connected) and sanded all the contacts. Then i pinched the contacts on fuse number 1 slightly closer together.
I had purchased an in-line fuse to replace fuse #1, but there were half a dozen wires coming out of the top it, so i said I'd leave well enough alone.
The ignition light might come on to warn you that the stop lights and indicators don't work with this fuse blown?

Glad to hear you got it sorted m8. It's usually verdigris that causes these annoying problems. Like motorracinggrandpa says it has hee haw to do with the points lol :roll:

Seems like such a small thing now, but when you're driving along and a big red light comes on...
