If your redgesterd on fg and upset them this is what you get
You have been banned for the following reason:
Trolling
I had to look up what trolling means, and the definition i found was this, intentionally and persistent postings that are inflammatory messages about sensitive topics to bait users into responding or provoke a confrontation. Also looked up forum, A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper or a radio or television program.
So according to TG/FG crowd when get on here they are only voicing their opinion and when we go on the Final Gear and voice our opinion we are banned for TROLLING, seems they can give it out but can't take it.

Alan

I can understand why he got banned, I didn't understand a damn word of wot he writ either......
It seems to have degenerated into self-perpetuating backslapping by people who wouldn't know what a Marina was if it jumped up and bit them; nothing to worry about over there, just clueless waffle and photoshop practise....
I suspect they will ramp up the abuse on Sunday to get a reaction, any reaction from us. They cannot be seen to be losing, although we have the overall power by either a) ignoring them or b) taking the p*ss. Clarkson has had a downer on British cars for years, probably since BMW told Rover to stop crossing his palm with silver (allegedly) as he thought the Rover 620i was a superb bit of kit and was happy to be quoted in Rover's ads at the time. How money changes things....
The biggest thing going for us is that a lot of people now look on what they are doing as petty and vindictive, which it is, and I suspect they will find getting assistance to make programmes, even outside TG becoming slightly more difficult in the future. One can only hope.
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

The Marina joke has gone stale now.over played and and worn out i spoke to a lad today at work and he said, although he didn't know much about Marinas or had seen any on the road he thought the white 1800 special looked well and did finish when the Capri didn't,and to kill it for a joke was stupid to say how few are left today. Not funny, but no way have TG won this one all they have done is make themselves look like bullies.
Will see what tomorrows show brings but i'm sure it will be the same old stuff, yet again so no surprise there then.

You have to remember they are TV people, with just a tentative grip on reality. Just look back at all the series that outstayed their welcome in the public's view, but still got churned out... Heartbeat (the 60's have been going 20 years....), Big Bruvva, Buzzcocks, TopGear, Millionaire, there are more. They will keep flogging the dead horse until the RSPCA get involved (or the glue factory....) so don't expect any change soon. Anyhoo, I believe this one has the '3 Classics to Majorca' skit in it, so lets see what they do with these...

Ay up Mike,
i must agree that even though a T.V programme is well past it's sell by date that doesn't mean to say that the network won't keep rehashing it over and over again, and Top Gear in the style we know it at the moment is a prime example of the "you've seen it all before" how low do viewing figures need to get before a show is axed? strangely before this series Top gear was BBC 2 highest rated programme, and has been sold to 42 other countries earning millions in revenue.

Sadly i seem to think that Clarkson as a BBC top earner will be around for quite a time to come, whether Top Gear survive in it's current format we will have to see,as reports of the shows co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May want the same pay deal as Clarkson for the show He is believed to be paid almost £2million a year by the BBC while the other two earn more like £350,000 there have been rumours for months that both May and Hammond have become tired of playing second fiddle to 48-year- old Clarkson, who has just struck a deal to promote the show's 'brand' around the world..(source London Evening Standard)

So there you have it while the show continues to generate cash for the BBC no matter how long it has overstayed it's welcome, how staid it's become or predictable it's here to stay at least till the salaries come up for renewal, but i won't be watching it.

:? Just watched tonights TG, and i have to say that was a pretty slick move on their part, doing the classic rally in Mallorca was a masterstroke in "how to get the classic car movement off your back in one easy lesson"!, it had all the right ingredients and the cars were all wonderful (despite their obvious faults!), the only thing i was confused over was the reading out of "so called emails " from club members...one of which was an old one (from someone who was not in fact a club member), and the second one as far as i can see on here, does not even exist!
Still at least they cleared up the "fact" that the car was Carla Bruni`s, and not one of mine!

Proves we've done the right thing by ignoring the daft beggars in that they've had to go back a year to find anything vaguely controversial and possibly even make up something.... not that the Beeb would EVER do that, would they.....

Russ, I know TG is one of the BBC's biggest earners, I put it in there to take the p*ss.......

I think they either pulled that quote about someone flinging pooh at Jeremy in the street from either thin air or their own forum lol! it certainly never came from this forum!

I really hope that their "Marina Funeral" is going to be more entertaining as TG is really starting to get boring now, even my mates who are not into classics are saying this and they are car buffs!

Nope, they'll keep going, and going, and going, and going until some other poor sod dares to raise their head above the parapet and have a go....
