new graphics on van

Post by wedgeprincess » Thu Oct 08, 2009 7:22 pm

Not wanting to disturb the lovingly applied Austin Morris signwriting i had some magnetic panel made up for the van. Very pleased with the result

That's a photoshop job.
Looks great!

Very nice looking van. 8) What is the colour?

Personally, I'd have gone for a smaller more discrete magnetic sign lower down, to compliment the cool original signwriting. But I like the way you've made the sign fit the panel recess. :)

I think it was to cover the old sign writing underneath the new magnetic sign with out damaging what was already there (It already had a nice painted sign 8) )
Used to be uncle Franks Van!!

Very good way of changing the sign writing in a flash - almost like having 2 vans!

Looks great Peter.
Might I ask what size the superlites are.?
They seems bigger than 13" - but what super dish they have.
If they are 14" - the local suppliers here only seem to supply them in offset for fwd cars.. :(
The van still looks absolutely mint - makes me think I'd like to remove the side windows in my two.
Thanks for the pics,
Kilroy

Looks lovely.
Can I ask how much that van cost you? I'd LOVE one like that.

Nice one Peter - good solution and good use of a light colour contrasting with the dark paintwork.

8) Looks nice Peter, good to see you are taking good care of her mate, how about a pic of the two of them together (pick up and van)?
Oh and for the person who asked earlier the colour is Green Mallard, which was her original colour

Does the 550 van share the MGB PCD? Paul Walbran Motors (Chch) list a 14x6 Superlite for $245 in their MG catalogue.

How wide is too wide?

iirc 7" with 205/60x13 just fit on the front (or is there plentry of clearance to the guards for even wider rims?). Would 8" fit on the rear without fouling the guards? 8)
