mgb engine donor's?,
I started using my tc coupe this week and the engines gone pop,
ive got a couple of mgb donor's one has a 18v b series with overdrive the other is in a kit car which is mgb based, again 18v but its mated to a early non overdrive box.
i know ive got to change the front and rear adaptor plates ect is there any diffrence with the input shaft spigot bush? IIRC there was a diffrence in size. and any tips on removing the bush without damaging it so if need be i can change them over
many thanks mart

The bearing will need changing mate. Imput shaft of an MGB is bigger. You also need the front and rear plates and sump (only if you want to retain the gearbox support bracket..)

crankshaft rear spigot bush.
8) removal of the spigot bush is quite simple. get yourself a punch or a long bolt which is an interference fit in the spigot bush. pack the spigot bush with grease and hit the punch or bolt. the pressure on the grease by hitting forces out the spigot bush in one piece................larry
