Don't know if this has been posted before - a very sad looking ex-ST Marina rally car.

Wasn't there some discuission, back then, whether it was a genuine ST. Personally I wouldn't know what to look for to tell.
Not a Marina owner, built in 1985 from a 1974 1.8TC MOT failure.

I don't think it is a genuine ST as the advert states the Dash came from a genuine car!
Even with all those parts it is not worth £4000, looking at the state of it the parts underneath will not be to smart.

I met up with Trevor Godwin who has got the ex-works Marina shown on another string (somewhere), he's had a good look at this one. The owner told him it's not a works car, but has some ST bits bought in period. What it does have are some records that shows it was rallied in period, which helps it if you want to go historic rallying, particularly abroad.

Paul.
You`d be surprised how much that lot is worth on the open market Paul!, the ST and genuine rally parts that i have tracked down for my ST car have cost me a bloody fortune, ST stuff is so rare and sought after that the bits alone would fetch the £4.000 he`s asking, that Halda Twin master for instance, that you can see on the dash is worth in excess of £1,200 on its` own!, the trouble is that all these bits were also used in rally Minis, Dolomites, TR7`s etc, and most of it has long since been disposed of or used in more `desirable` rally cars of the era  .

I am suprized
But the parts although rare will take a even more money to get them in a good serviceable condition.
Looking at the pictures it will cost heaps.
But I guess if you have the time and it is what you want then it is worth the money - just look at me the big idiot I am!

Frank- May have to sort something out about a boot lid! Not sure how and when but when I have finished fiddling with it I will give you a buzz!
