CLASSICS mag is on our side!

Post by Marinanut » Thu Feb 25, 2010 7:27 pm

Had a quick browse through CLASSICS magazine today, the Marina is listed as one of the best cars to get into as prices are on the rise against many other Classic cars.
Good news at last!
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

Thats great as at least if the price rises then they may be valued more as a Classic, but I am sure some owners will not be happy as these cars are still seen as a cheap run-a-bout!
But you can't please all

My car appeared in a feature in Classics magazine in April 2009, it was called Classics Monthly then.

I found them very complimentary and helpful.

It is good news, but hope it does not start to put up our comprehensive insurance premiums

TG can claim much of the credit for the price rise by putting the car on screen so much and by getting their dealer pals to bidding against each other on fleabay for the next challenge victims.
Marinas have been undervalued for decades now, shame Life on Mars didnt make the Marina TC coupe seem as glamourous as a Cortina mk3

I'd love for another 70s or 80s period drama to be made so I could get my Marina used as a back ground car, would be awesome

Quite hard to organise actually.

In Ireland there's an agency you have to join and they decide whether your ar gets work or not.

Unless the director sees your car outside a shop and falls in love - then anything is possible!

Just been out and bought the magazine today. Yes,that is my car featured again! They are obviously using some of the photos from the photoshoot last year.

Main picture on page 89, also on the cover and pages 4 & 81. RMG is a Reading registration, I believe, unless anyone knows different.
